Biography

Sophia Chen spent 15 years at the intersection of venture capital and operational leadership. As CEO of Horizon Ventures, she deployed over $600M across early-stage technology companies in Southeast Asia, India and Greater China. Under her leadership, three portfolio companies achieved unicorn status. Sophia stepped back from full-time investing in 2023 to focus on mentoring the next generation of global founders through programmes like FRI, where she brings her lens of capital efficiency and international scalability.
